Mohs Micrographic Surgery
Professor Ali is experienced in Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, the skin cancer treatment with the highest cure rate which also preserves as much healthy skin as possible. He has undertaken an advanced dermatological surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery and laser fellowship and is expert in the treatment of skin cancer. He is able to assess and remove skin cancers, moles, lumps, bumps, cysts, milia and warts, and can also provide advice and treatment for scarring, including acne scarring and keloid scarring. Acne and Rosacea
Having published multiple research articles on acne, acne scarring and rosacea, Professor Ali's expertise is widely sought for the management of acne, acne scarring and rosacea and he is experienced in offering topical, tablet-based, injectable and laser treatments. He recognises the profound impact these diseases can have upon patients and their families and creates bespoke treatment plans with skin care advice for individual patients to address their specific needs.


Medical Dermatology
There are over 2000 skin diseases and rashes. After working in the UK's best centres, Professor Ali manages all aspects of medical dermatology in adults, including acne, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, eczema, psoriasis, melasma, vitiligo, urticaria, drug rashes, and can arrange appropriate further tests. He is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register in Dermatology in recognition of his expertise.
Pigmentary disorders
Professor Ali has a particular expertise in disorders of pigmentation (including melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, age spots and vitiligo) and is regularly invited to teach other consultants at prestigious national and international conferences and written numerous articles. He undertook the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group fellowship to study disorders of skin pigmentation in the National Skin Centre Singapore. As a Consultant Dermatologist, trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and Chair of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team, Professor Ali is very experienced in managing skin cancer, examining moles with dermatoscopy and removing with minimal scarring if needed.
